Message of the H.O.D

The School of Chemistry a pioneered Department in teaching and research in chemistry in Sambalpur University started functioning from November, 1969 at VSSUT (formerly University College of Engineering), Burla, later shifted to Jyoti Vihar campus in 1973. The School is enriched with the funding of around Rs. 2.3 Crores by DST and UGC under the FIST and DRS programs, respectively and is boost up with a group of highly qualified faculty members and dedicated support personnel. The School has carried out almost twenty major research projects amounting to Rs. 100 lakhs funded by various agencies. The School has also undertaken collaborative work with the internationally reputed industries and research laboratories. This year the School has been provided 5 numbers of BSR fellowships from the UGC, New Delhi.

Ph.D. Qualified: Post Docs in different institutions in India and Abroad, lecturers in NIT, Universities and different Colleges.
